Alternatives

(2015)

Note

John Zube presents in the clearest possible way the alternatives in personal and social life that are there to choose for each and all of us. They represent decisions of paramount importance if we want to give meaning to our lives in an original and direct way. Otherwise we will continue to be led and used by others for aims that, almost always, have nothing to do with human decency.

ALTERNATIVES VS. IMPOSITIONS

Alternatives institutions, freely chosen by volunteers and this only for themselves, vs. territorial, monopolistic, compulsory and collectivist systems, all of them imposed upon whole populations, which are, wrongfully, considered to be a uniform and united „people“ or „nation“ and this in spite of their numerous dissenting groups.

GENUINE PEACE VS. TERRITORIAL WARFARE STATES

A genuine peace, based upon freedom, justice and prosperity vs. the temporary and impoverishing armistices under militarism, and its arms races, the nuclear deterrence and balance of power attempts, the „policies“ of territorial governments, all of which cannot be relied upon, in the long run, because they do not abolish the war-making powers and motives as well as the despotic monetary and financial despotism that „finances“ wars. All of them neither prevent planned or accidental wars. The Warfare States never even bother to declare and attempt to realize quite rightful war- and peace aims only – those directed only against aggressive territorial regimes, which could turn the primary victims of these regimes, their conscripts, tax- and inflation victims and other wrongfully subjected dissenting innocent people into valuable and strong allies, defecting from or rising against such regimes. Territorial governments are also still failing to declare and respect all individual rights and liberties, although, when realized, these would, indirectly, assure peaceful coexistence of the most diverse groups of people, all peacefully doing their own things, only among their volunteers and at their expense and cost – apart from individual criminals and insane people, which would then, most likely, be also diminished in numbers.

VOLUNTARISM VS. TERRITORIAL STATISM

Societies and communities of volunteers only vs. territorial States with many compulsory territorial subjects, and tax slaves, among them very diverse dissenting groups, not allowed to secede and rule themselves according to their preferred personal law system, at their own cost and risk.

VOLUNTARISM VS. MONOPOLISM

Voluntarism in all spheres for all peaceful, innocent, non-criminal, non-interventionist and non-aggressive people, i.e. those moral and rational enough to know, appreciate and respect the individual rights and liberties of others vs. territorial and statist governments, their constitutional and legalized and court-sanctified compulsion, coercion and force, however wrongful these may be.

COMPETITION VS. MONOPOLISTIC COERCION

Free competition in all spheres for all rightful activities of volunteers vs. territorial statism, monopolism, compulsory collectivism, however constitutional and legal they may be. The latter systems do not have the consent or vote of all innocent people so subjected in any territory. Free and unanimous consent does not exist territory-wide for whole populations. Human beings are much too diverse critters for that. Not even two of them are quite alike, physically and mentally.

NETWORKS VS. TERRITORIALISM

Networked governance systems, societies and communities, all for their volunteers only and thus all without a territorial monopoly over whole populations vs. all territorial and statist power imposition on the inhabitants of small to large countries, local government areas, States of countries.

PERSONAL LAW CHOICES

Individual sovereignty or self-ownership vs. collective sovereignty and territorial powers by governments over whole populations.

Individual secessionism vs. territorial secessionism.

Personal law choices vs. territorial despotism or authoritarianism, and its country- or State-wide constitutionalism and monopolistic legalism, including “democratic” or “republican” and “constitutional” majority despotism.

SOCIAL CONTRACTS, COMPETING ONES, FOR VOLUNTEERS

Real, explicit and written social contracts, subscribed to by volunteers vs. supposedly existing “social contracts” for whole populations.

VOLUNTARISM & NATURAL ORDER OF FREE MARKETS FOR FREE PEOPLE IN ALL SPHERES

Self-chosen uniformity or allegiance to the systems, methods, networks and organizations of volunteers, their societies, communities and governance systems vs. territorially imposed uniformity and demanded obedience and allegiance.

INDIVIDUAL FREE CHOICES VS. DIVERSE PEOPLES, COMMUNITIES, SOCIETIES & NETWORKS TREATED AS PROPERTY & SUBJECTS OF TERRITORIAL GOVERNMENTS

Free individual choice offering systems and organizations for volunteers: panarchies or polyarchies, with their voluntary subscriptions vs. territorial & statist impositions, conscription, compulsory subject status, domination, legislation and exploitation (e.g. via monetary and financial despotism, central banking, public debts and tribute levies).

VOLUNTARY OR COOPERATIVE SOCIALISM, IF ANY, VS. TERRITORIAL STATE SOCIALISM

If any form of ca. 600 kinds of socialism at all, then voluntary and cooperative socialism for their supporters only vs. any form of State Socialism imposed upon whole populations, whether e.g. of the Stalinist or the Maoist or the “ Welfare State” type, but with tolerance even for such systems, as long as they do no longer claim a territorial monopoly but confine it to their remaining voluntary supporters.

SELF-OWNERSHIP, INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGNTY & SECESSIONISM & PERSONAL LAW OPTIONS VS. PEOPLE TREATED AS GOVERNMENT PROPERTY

All individual rights and liberties (clearly declared and sufficiently published) as options for volunteers and societies and networks of like-minded volunteers vs. the all too limited, incomplete and flawed Bills of Rights and constitutions of territorial States and governments, their masses of territorial laws, legislation and regulations, controls, inspections and bureaucracies, tribute levies, other forms of financial despotism and the monetary despotism of their central banks, imposed upon whole populations, treating them as mere subjects or government property.

VOLUNTARISM & INDIVIDUAL CONSENT VS. TERRITORIAL STATISM

Competing public service enterprises, exterritorially autonomous, and their freely choosing sovereign voluntary customers vs. monopolistic and enforced “public services”, “for” or, rather, against whole populations, with their tribute levies called “taxes”.

Individually subscribed-to governance systems, societies and communities of volunteers, in network forms, i.e. without a territorial monopoly claim and practice vs. any form of territorial statism, monopolistically enforced upon whole populations, at best only in the form of voted-in majority despotism with all too limited minority rights and liberties, whether in any form of territorial democracy or republic or even worse.

DECENTRALIZATION & CENTRALIZATION ONLY BY CHOICE OF VOLUNTEERS & FOR THEM, ONLY

Decentralization and centralization for volunteers and their chosen personal law systems vs. territorially imposed centralization or decentralization of States with their alleged “unity”, uniformity, “representation” and “leadership” based upon majority despotism.

INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGNTY VS. COLLECTIVE, TERRITORIAL & STATIST SOVEREIGNTY & ITS “FREE VOTING”

Non-intervention or Zero Aggression Principle (ZAP) or consistent voluntarism in all sphere: vs. interventionism, aggression, compulsion, force, domination, territorial statism, monopolism, collectivism.

Full voting power over the own affairs only, among volunteers vs. any voting “right” and power, territorially and statist, over the affairs of other people in the same territory.

FREE CHOICES AMONG DRUGS FOR ADULT VOLUNTEERS VS. ANY GENERAL PROHIBITIONS

Competing governance systems, societies & communities of volunteers vs. monopolistically, territorially and compulsory imposed State systems of volunteers and also all too many involuntary and dissenting victims and subjects, under the pretense of equal rights and liberties for all “citizens” in a territorial State.

All individual rights and liberties, declared and recognized and also practiced, at least among their voluntary supporters, vs. merely those declared and somewhat and sometimes respected by territorial governments and their Bills of Rights.

Self-regulation and self-controls of groups of like-minded volunteers, under their choices of personal law or kinds of exterritorial autonomy vs. constitutions, laws, masses of legislation and regulations territorially imposed upon whole populations under the statist religion or ideology.

Free choices, even among drugs, vaccinations and stimulants vs. compulsory drugging, e.g. via compulsory vaccination and fluoridation of water supplies or territorial and statist prohibitions even of alcohol and soft drugs.

SOCIAL CONTRACTS, PERSONAL LAW CHOICES, VOLUNTARISM, MUTUAL TOLERANCE, PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE, ZAP, PANARCHISM, POLYARCHISM

Freely chosen symbols vs. country-wide imposed flags and their nationalistic worship ritual.

Allegiance by individual free choice, with the withdrawal or secession option for individuals and their groups of volunteers vs. country-wide or territorially demanded “allegiance” for whole populations, for whom individual and group secessionism and personal law alternatives are outlawed.

Publicity for everything rightful and against everything wrongful. Full freedom of expression and information vs. secrecy e.g. for governmental treaties, governmental corruption or crimes, wrongful “weapons”, treason and espionage trials in the interest of territorial States and their governments.

Voluntary and competing insurance systems and free choice among them vs. any compulsory and monopolistic governmental “insurance“ systems.

Voluntary arbitration systems (already partly realized) vs. compulsory and monopolistic statist jurisdiction systems.

Voluntary security and protection systems (already partly realized) vs. any territorial and statist policing monopoly systems and powers, “financed” by imposed tribute levies.

Voluntary transportation and communication systems (already partly realized) vs. any territorial and statist monopoly system “financed” by taxes or public debt impositions.

Voluntary and private education systems (already partly realized, with home schooling and some online services and even university offers) vs. any public and compulsory or high-school or tertiary education system that is tax-subsidized and governmentally controlled.

Peaceful and tolerantly coexisting communities, societies and governance systems of volunteers, all doing only their own things among their members, at their own expense and risk, under self-chosen personal law systems vs. territorial Warfare States and all territorially imposed statist and authoritarian to totalitarian systems, including Welfare States, however constitutional and legalized, interfering the individual rights and liberties of whole populations, sometimes even down to trivial details, not only to large wrongs in their internal and international actions and policies, under masses of legislation and regulations, which no one can read even once as well as all too numerous and powerful as well as wrongfully interventionist bureaucratic bodies all largely involuntarily supported by their involuntary victims with the means raised by tribute levies called taxes and other wrongful confiscations, e.g. under forfeiture laws or nationalizations.

INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGNTY & PERSONAL LAW CHOICES OR PANARCHISM/ POLYARCHISM VS. STATIST TERRITORIALISM

Sovereign individuals or full self-ownership or all individual rights and liberties to all who know and appreciate them and do respect them in others vs. mere subjects to territorially imposed and statist governments, with their conscription practices, tribute levies, wrongful laws and all too limited and flawed bills of rights.

WHAT HAVE I STILL LEFT OUT HERE, IN 33 PARAGRAPHS? What can and should be worded much better, differently ordered, integrated or further separated? What is still all too repetitive?

THIS DRAFT IS STILL ONLY A FIRST DRAFT, STILL, AN INSUFFICIENTLY EDITED, ORDERED, CROSS-REFERENCED & INCOMPLETE COLLECTION OF STATEMENTS RELATED TO PANARCHISM – POLYARCHISM – PERSONAL LAW, CONSISTENT VOLUNTARISM ETC. – I AM, UNABLE TO COMPLETE & SUFFICIENTLY IMPROVE IT, ALL ON MY OWN.

I believe that no short single statement, paragraph, definition, dogma or slogan will sufficiently convey all that is meant. A compilation of dozens of them is more likely to get the whole meaning across. - However, for the time being that is all that I can offer in this respect. - JZ, 30.12.15, john.zube@bigpond.com
